Thank you for your interest in the Funcamps programs. If you have either questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and would love to have you become a part of the growing Funcamps family.
In addition to all of the fun projects we have planned,
our Amazing Science Campers will receive a well rounded
curriculum of field activities swimming, field trips,
guest entertainers and more. This program has been designed
for campers between the ages of 6-12, and is a sure
bet for the budding scientist or for the curious at
heart.
Q: If my child attends more than one session will he get different materials?
We have many different levels in all of our specialty programs which enable our campers to continue to learn and do exciting new activities and receive new Supplies each time they attend.
Q: What is a typical day like?
In all of our programs the campers have a balanced day between their specialty and other camp activities, usually it is between two to three hours of their specialty and then balanced out with the other camp activities i.e. swimming, field activities, special shows. Q: Is my child too young to attend camp?
All of our programs have been designed to be age appropriate for 5-12 year olds. With over 20 years of experience all of our campers are assured to have a fun and exciting summer.
Q: What is the staff to camper ratio?
Because we realize the importance of quality staff and ratios ours is one adult counselor for every 9 children.
Q: Who is the Staff?
Our Staff is comprised of all adult counselors and directors. Each one has been carefully selected for their enthusiasm, education and professionalism. 80 % are made up of certified educators and teachers with the balance of our staff selected for their special skills and areas of knowledge.
Q: Are the counselors screened ?
All of our counselors are adults and go through a comprehensive background screening and training course to ensure you child's safety and well being.
Q: How long are the campers outside each day?
Each program has been designed to have a balanced day. In conjunction with our specialties, the campers do participate in field activities each day and swimming if location has a pool.
